This course is designed to give an understanding of combustion theory, current regulations and the use of flue gas analysers on domestic heating equipment.

Aims of Course

On completion of the course delegates should have knowledge of:

  • The principle of combustion, what is correct / incorrect combustion
  • An understanding of British Standard 7967
  • Flue gas analyser functions
  • Operational differences of atmospheric and pre mix burners
  • Practical use of a flue gas analyser to determine combustion performance
  • Fault diagnosis

Who should attend?

Gas Safe registered engineers who require a more detailed understanding of combustion theory.

Suggested prior knowledge or understanding

Candidates must be Gas Safe registered, hold CCN1/CCLP1 and other relevant ACS elements.
