Introduction
This course is designed to give an understanding of woody biomass boilers and their systems and can be used as evidence of training for installers applying for the Microgeneration Certification Scheme. This training course is delivered by one of BDR Thermea's training partners.
Aims of Course
On completion of the course delegates should have knowledge of:
- How biomass works
- How to size a biomass system for a building
- Installation
- Service and maintenance requirements
Who should attend?
Experienced domestic heating installers or plumbers who wish to extend their scope of work into biomass.
Suggested prior knowledge or understanding
Candidates are required to have a number of years' experience in plumbing or conventional heating engineering or hold a formal qualification such as NVQ Level 3 in plumbing or heating engineering.
If using qualification towards MCS registration, please check with awarding body for pre requisite qualifications that may be required.
